Hardest Time with Boy Names - HELP!

I don't know what it is, but we just have the hardest time with boy names. We really didn't figure out our first's until he was born! We have a girl name we love, but I'd like to find a boy name we can love as well to be prepared! Any input is appreciated. I like things that aren't way out there but also aren't very common! Our son's name is Damon Edward (multiple reason we like this, lol - his initials are DEW (ie. Mt. Dew) and he is named after 2 vampires (Damon from Vampire Diaries, and Edward from Twilight) - no judgement please!

I hear ya. Before DH and I got our BFP I thought we had boy and girl names locked down but no I'm doubting and looking for something else.

Maybe check out the link I posted with the 1000 top names. I just saw Damon no the list somewhere around #300 or so. 

Do you have names you don't like? Maybe that will help us get an idea of what you do like.

I don't know - my husband keeps coming up with names that I just associate with weird things I guess, lol - last night it was vacuums (Dyson) and reindeer (Donner). Also football player names that usually are for African American players that I just don't think would work for us pale folk, lol. 

 

I kind of like Asa and Amos, as I browsed my Bible in church last Sunday, lol.

I've always like Josiah as a biblical name but DH would never go for it. 

I have a hard time not associating names with things or people too. Part of the reason I can't use half of the names I see! lol!

No help here, boy names come very easily for DH and me, but girl names completely throw us for a loop!  Our boy name for this baby has been set in stone since before even TTC, but we're still waffling on our girl choice.

I'm browsing and making a list right now too. Do you have a mn you know you want to use? We would like to use DH's name, Bradley, as a middle name so I'm trying to find things I think sound decent with Bradley.

No, no specific middle name. My husband's middle name is Lee, so that could go with either gender. But we kind of just find names we like together, lol.

I am currently trying to convince my husband that Brady is a great name. Because I am a Pats fan and have a huge crush on Tom Brady he says no. I honestly love the name Brady and would still love it even if I never heard of Tom Brady. I also love the name Josiah but he says no for that too. The only name we both agree on so far is Joshua Tanner. Good luck!

Could you go with a variation of Brady like Brody, Bradley or Braden.

its so hard choosing a name if its a boy i might just name him after his father!

I bet you are having a girl!! We had a hard time with girl names both times and the boy names just came to us automatically, first one was a boy, second is a boy! I think it is intuition. Keep us all updated!
