I don't really like any of those names, I chose Devin. BUT, I noticed your 1st DD is named Ryann. Do you pronounce it Ryan or Ry Ann? Either way-- I LOVE Ryan for a girl!!

It's pronounced Ryan. It was my ex's great grandma's name and the traditional spelling is Ryann but I wanted Ryan. I lost that battle.
I am kind of nontraditional so I knew a lot of people wouldn't like the names but I appreciate the honesty!

Devin is my favorite but I knew most people wouldn't like it. I had a dear friend in college name Devin and she died in a car accident our senior year!

I like skylar but to me it looks spelled wrong. I've known a Skyler so maybe thats why.
Tayler also looks spelled wrong. I like Taylor but I think if you name her Tayler she'll be correcting people on the spelling of her name her whole life. I had a health teacher who wanted us to call her by her first name "Candiss" and she always talked about how she liked her name but hated the spelling and it felt like a curse her mother put on her.
Devin - I knew one girl devin and didn't like her. I also knew a bunch of Devon (boys) to me it's a boys name

Ryann is not a traditional spelling. Sorry. I did a lot of homework on that before naming DD Evangeline Ryan.
nn as a girl's name is a variant of Riane (Irish) and Ryan (Irish, Gaelic), and the meaning of Ryann is "king".
Apparently people to jack up the spelling of names when your ex's gg was born.
As for the names listed. I think Skylar is pretty and I have only seen it spelled with an 'a'. Devin is very common as a girl's name around here and I think honoring your friend is sweet.

Ryann was my ex's great grandmother's name from Welsh decent. I did research and found that it was indeed how the Welsh spelling the feminine name for Ryan.
Tayler spelled with an e is a family name, Skylar was just a name we liked and that is the way I've always seen it spelled and Devin is in honor of my friend.

Do you have a "thing" for unisex names? Because all of these are, as is your daughter's.
Yes, I like unisex names. My FI came up with Skylar and Tayler. I came up with Devin! I like them all.
I appreciate everyone's opinions! Some may think the names are bad and that's ok. There are plenty of names out there that I think are bad. It's nice to hear the honesty though.

Re: Girl Clicky Poll
I voted Skylar but only because I hate Devin on a girl and the misspelling of Tayler.
Sophia is my favourite name up there.

Also I LOVE Sophia!
I agree. If I saw/heard your kids names, I would never - in a million years- think you had two girls.
I voted for Skylar, but if you had shared the meaning for Devin in your original post, that would have been my vote.
