Boob Job

I already asked this a while back on the Fashion and beauty board but wanted to ask you ladies as well.

So my tiits are flat pancakes thanks to my daughter sucking those puppies dry. I am going to gift myself with a new set of knockers for Christmas.

I was wondering if any of you ladies have had a boob job done and if you could answer some questions for me perdy pwease.

1. How long did your recovery take and how was the pain afterwards?

2. How big did you go compared to how your breasts were before the procedure?

3. Did you get it done at a surgery center or hospital?

4. Saline or Silicone?

5. Did you do it before or after kids? If after, how did your boobs look and did you breastfeed?

6. How much did you pay for the procedure?

Re: Boob Job

  • I have not had mine done, but my sister had hers done after her first was born. I'll tell you what I know about hers.

    1. I remember she stayed in bed for a day, but was up and about after that, but still in some pain. I think she used vicodin at first, and then ibuprofen to manage the pain. Overall, I don't remember it being that long, but it wasn't me, so I'm not exactly sure.

    2. She was a small A before she had my nephew, then an even smaller and less shapely A after. She has Ds now. I know she loves them, but I personally wouldn't go that big. (Her body is really petite, so they just look too big on her. The implants themselves look like they are done well.)

    3. I'm not sure.

    4. She did saline, I think because the incision is smaller? I'm not sure. She had some issue with rippling and ended up having to have them "touched up", but they have been fine ever since.

    5. She had them done between her 2 kids. She was able to breastfeed after. She only nursed my niece for about 3 months, but the implants were not the reason she stopped. They didn't affect her ability to breastfeed. (It depends on how the implants are done whether or not the milk ducts are damaged.) Her boobs looked scary big for a little while, but went back to normal after she nursed my niece.

    6. I think she paid like 5k per breast? I'm not totally sure.

I know it may seem weird that I know so much about my sister's boobs, but I was staying with her a lot around the time she had them done, and she is NOT shy about them. Haha. I've also asked about it a lot because I have considered having them done too.

A woman's life is nine parts mess to one part magic, you'll learn that soon enough...and the parts that look like magic turn out to be the messiest of all.
  • I wish DH would let me get a boob job. Then I could retire the push up bras. My millions of them since that is the only way I have tits.

  • 1. How long did your recovery take and how was the pain afterwards? I chose a surgeon that was trained in the newer dissection techniques (some call it the 24 hour recovery technique or electrocauterization dissection).  I was up and around on the day of recovery.  Had no real pain just felt pressure from muscles and skin being stretched.  You are restricted from lifting anything over 5 pounds for about 2 weeks.  Your boobs take several months to settle and start looking nice, so it's not instant results.  Winter is a good time to get them because by the time bikini season comes they will be all healed and looking great.

    2. How big did you go compared to how your breasts were before the procedure? I was flat prior and I went up 2 cup sizes. I wanted a proportionate and natural look since I am a small framed person.

    3. Did you get it done at a surgery center or hospital?  My surgeon did his surgeries in a hospital.

    4. Saline or Silicone?  I got mine done in 2005 and silicone was only available to reconstruction patients or you had to find a surgeon who was part of a study so I have saline

    5. Did you do it before or after kids? If after, how did your boobs look and did you breastfeed?  I waited until after I was done having kids.

    6. How much did you pay for the procedure?  In 2005 it was $5000 total.

    1. How long did your recovery take and how was the pain afterwards? Recovery took a couple days for me. Probably 4-5 days and I was back to normal. I think the lifting restriction lasted 2 weeks but I don't remember exactly

    2. How big did you go compared to how your breasts were before the procedure? I was a maybe A before and ended up with a small D. I asked for a mid/full C.

    3. Did you get it done at a surgery center or hospital? Hospital

    4. Saline or Silicone? Silicone

    5. Did you do it before or after kids? If after, how did your boobs look and did you breastfeed? Before kids, I BF DS for 16 months then got knocked up before they had time to normalize. Nothing too saggy. I was down to BF 1x a day and had someone who wants to get hers done telling me how great they looked, so I guess it could not have been that bad.

    6. How much did you pay for the procedure? Around $7,000 about 5 years ago.

  • 1. How long did your recovery take and how was the pain afterwards?  Recovery was about a good week.. if your talking pain wise... there was 2-3 days of good PAIN. you dont realize how much you use those boob muscles. Also, they are large and swollen for a while until they settle..

    2. How big did you go compared to how your breasts were before the procedure? I was barely a B and I went to a full D. I love them.. they look completely natural.

    3. Did you get it done at a surgery center or hospital? The plastic surgeon I used is able to do them at their offices.. they have an operating room there.

    4. Saline or Silicone? Saline!!!!

    5. Did you do it before or after kids? If after, how did your boobs look and did you breastfeed? I did it after DD1 and before DD2.. I did not breast feed DD2 but was told I was able to if I had wanted to. My nipples were very sensitive after my surgery and that is the reason why I did not breast feed. I mean they are very sensitive.. That is a good thing.. it means I did not lose any sensitivity after the surgery, they actually became more sensitive.

    6. How much did you pay for the procedure? 4K

Another point.. (im just going to offer this) My incision is around the nipple.. the lower part)  you cant even see it. I know there are some that go below the breast and some that can go through the arm pit.. If you have a very good plastic surgeon (my doc, we call him the boob guy, cause boobs are his speciality), and you have the incision around the nipple, once it heals, you will know its there.. but noone else would.. I have shown mine to people before (other women, close friends, who were thinking about getting theirs done) and they could not even see where my incision was) This is also something to think about is where you would want the incision to be.. Just wanted to share that..
