Anyone using the bassinet part of their Pack'n'Play to have your baby sleep in your bedroom the first few weeks?
I pulled out our Pack'n'Play last night and set-up the bassinet. I am so paranoid I am not doing it right but everything seemed to be tight but I still was expecting it to be a little less wobbly. I had planned to use it for the baby in our bedroom for at least the first couple weeks. I assume a lot of people do - anyone else using it for this purpose? Do you feel it is secure enough?
Re: Using the bassinet part of the Pack'n'Play
this is our plan as well but It won't be set up until 7/28 or 7/29~ISH
I will be using it for just that (first month or so), except it'll be downstairs in our family room when we're spending time there. We got the Chicco Lullaby LX and the bassinet seems pretty sturdy with added bars for support.
We have an Arm's Reach Co-Sleeper in our room.
Yes, we are doing this. We set ours up (and have since taken down until we get closer) and it was super sturdy feeling. We have metal bars that run the length of the bassinet, but I know some models don't, perhaps that is the difference.
holy cow. this is strange. i could have just written this myself. we just set ours up yesterday and i had the exact same reaction and paranoia.
