Trader Joe's Low Calorie Lemonade

I have finally found something I can stand to drink (since I can barely stomach plain water these days):  Trader Joe's Low Calorie Lemonade!  It's made with organic lemon juice and Stevia (which my OB okay'ed), it doesn't have that synthetic sugar/fake flavor so many sugar-free products have, and it is just the right blend of sour and sweet.  Hydration, here I come!!!

Just thought I'd pass it on for any other ladies struggling to stay hydrated who are sick of low-cal Gatorade and some of the other pregnancy-safe options out there.

  • I love Trader Joe's and am so lucky to have one in town, but for someone who doesn't, I've been drinking True Lemonade at home sometimes - it's so strong I only use about 1/2 a pack per large glass, and it's essentially the same concept with lemon+stevia (but not organic I'm afraid) - anyway, my grocery store stocks it with the aisle of Crystal Light etc.  There's a raspberry lemonade one, too.

  • For anyone without a TJ's but has a WF or other organic market, Lakewood also makes a light lemonade sweetened with Stevia. It doesn't have any other sugar in it like TJ's does, it's sweetened by some grape juice and something else. So I would say it's slightly less sweet than the TJ version, but I don't mind that.

In general I find that Lakewood makes great juices - rarely any added sugar or cane juice that I've seen, so many "pure" (ie, 100% juice from that fruit, nothing else) options, and the light versions they have (cranberry, pomegranate, lemonade, maybe others) are all pretty yummy.
