What do you drive? Like it/Love it/Loathe it?

OK, maybe similar, but not quite the 'do I need a minivan?' question.  (I already have one).  Just curious to see what everyone else has to get ideas for our next vehicle.

1. What do you drive?

2. What do you like about it?

3. Dislikes?

4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?

  • 1. What do you drive?  2011 Toyota Rav 4

    2. What do you like about it?  Safety was my biggest priority.  Its pretty roomy and handles well in rain and snow.  I did like my old Honda CRV better, though, but the newer CRV's are smaller than the RAV's.

    3. Dislikes?  not many nice features.  My husband has a new CRV and I like that it monitors your gas usage.

    4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?

I like the Lexus SUV's-  they are just purdy.

  • Mercedes GL 450.  I really like it.  It feels safe and drives well.  It's hard to get Emerson into the third row but, she's able to buckle herself now which is nice.  The cost of gas is terrible but, I don't drive a ton.

I might think about looking at a Range Rover in the future but, in reality, I'll probably stick with what I have.

  • I drive the Toyota Rav 4 too- love it. Handles well and it's got great power. We will keep the Rav and turn in hubby's car for a decked out Honda Pilot when the babies get older.
  • I have a Nissan versa. It is just big enough for us and 2 car seats to go away for a weekend, but too tight if we bring the dog too. I live in the city, so it's a great size to parallel park.

    Dream car... Any Audi  lol.

  • GMC Envoy, the extended version. Love that the 2 infant seats and a forward facing seat all fit in middle row and then I have the option of the 3rd row. Which I leave down for the army of things required for 3 kids especially the stroller which has no problem fitting! It has drives nice!

Dream car a Buick Enclave but it has bucket seats and I want kids to be able to buckle their own belts before we go to buckets. I don't want to be running all over inside and outside the car to buckle kids in!

  • Guess I should answer my own poll.

    1. We have a Chrysler Town & Country

    2. Likes: nice features with the backup camera, dvd, power doors and liftgate.  Like the sliding doors (no door dings, and easy when they were babies).  Lots of storage space.

    3. Dislikes: Would like something that either had better gas mileage or 4WD/AWD available for winter.  (OK, would like both better mpg and 4wd but those don't go well together, lol).

    4. Dream Car: I think a Jeep Wrangler would be fun, and also dream of a GMC Acadia being the next family vehicle.

  • 1. What do you drive?  2005 Chrysler T & C or a 2005 Dodge Stratus.  T&C is the "family" vehicle.

    2. What do you like about it?  I love having a van.  I love the remote sliding doors, I love the cargo space, I love being able to stow the seats.

    3. Dislikes?  gas mileage could be better.

    4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?  Audi TT

  • I have a Toyota Sienna and I really like it.  It seats 7, handles well, and is very comfortable.  I don't like climbing all the way in the back to buckle my 2-year-old into her carseat, though.  If I could have any car in the world, it would definitely not be a car I would be putting car seats into...it would be mommy's hot little ride.  :)

  • I drive a 2010 ford Expadaition EL . I like the space for storage and the ease is use. I have a good amount of extras like back up camera and sync. But it does not have DVD and it is a pain to back up cause it is so large. I also miss my sliding doors.

Dream car for family would be a Honda Odassy with everything. For just me it would be VW SUV or BMW X5.

  • 1. What do you drive?  Honda Odyssey

    2. What do you like about it?  gas mileage and so convenient with the kids-sliding doors, lots of room, etc

    3. Dislikes?  probably just the mini van stigma  I really like it and can't think of any dislikes!

    4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?  Probably a cool convertible like a Mercedes or BMW but more realistic I would love to get another Acura MDX sometime...I've had two and loved them.

  • 1. What do you drive?

    2010 Honda CR-V

    2. What do you like about it?

Pretty much everything - it's comfortable, has enough room for two car seats, gets great gas mileage, and has a lot of cargo space.

    3. Dislikes?

I wish there was a little more space between the seats - but that said I can still get my DIono Radian RF behind the driver's seat, and I'm 6' tall.

    4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?

With kids, it would be a Honda Pilot.  Without kids, I honestly think I'd just like a loaded CR-V.  I seriously love my car.

  • 1. What do you drive?

    2011 Honda Pilot EX-L

    2. What do you like about it?

Pretty much everything - it's the most comfortable car I've ever driven.  Decent gas mileage (better than my old jeep!), handles extremely well for an SUV, 4WD for winter, very peppy V6, etc.  We bought it to tow DH's motorcycle trailer, but its going to make a great triplet ride as well!

    3. Dislikes?

    Nothing.

    4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?

BMW M5. That I would autocross.  I seriously love to drive fast.

    1. What do you drive? 2012 Subaru Outback

    2. What do you like about it? Lots of interior room, but still small enough on the outside to feel like I'm driving a car. It's also pretty.

    3. Dislikes? It's a tight fit if we have 3 adults and the 2 huge convertibles. I usually sit in the back between the boys and feel a little wedged.

    4. Dream vehicle: Same one but loaded instead of the base model we bought.

  • 1. What do you drive?

    Honda Pilot

    2. What do you like about it?

I can get my girls, the dog and all our luggage in with no problem when taking a road trip. Also I can get my kids out of their sandy wet beach clothes in the back of the Pilot easily and shake out the rubber mat that I have back there, so the beach does not come home with us (we live 10 min. to the beach so we are there often). I am also able to transport my neice (8 years old) and my BFF's girls (7&5) along with my girls if I have them all for the day even with my kids still in their carseats. None of my other friends can do this because they all have cars.

    3. Dislikes?

With the twins still in harnnessed carseats in the second row, you cannot access the third row without climbing in through the back (tailgate area). A minivan would be easier to access the third row with the twins in carseats in the second row, or I could move the twins to the third row in a minivan and have the whole second row available and still have storage behind the third row. Not much storage behind the third row in the Pilot when it is up.

    4. Dream vehicle: If you could win a new car on Price is Right that you get drive when you're alone (ie, don't care how many car seats fit in it), what would you want?

Lexus IS convertible. Living in FL convertibles are great because you get to use them a lot. It also is a 4 seat convertible so more than just me can ride in it. And I love that it is a hard top convertible like the Mercedes, but not as pricey and more reliable than the Mercedes. I will have one some day, but probably not until the girls are in middle school and I return to work. Right about the time that I will be trading in the Pilot, so hoping I can convince DH.
