funny story (maybe a bit tmi...)

So last night I was feeling a little nauseous but I thought I was okay.  I bought a boppy total body pillow so I laid down wrapped up in it and decided to try to listen to the baby's heartbeat with my doppler.  Something with listening to the noises in my belly made me feel really sick immediately and I tried to get out of my pillow but I got all tangled up in it.  I managed to get to the bathroom in time but it was so intense my eyes felt like they were going to fall out of my head and I peed all over the floor.

Nobody told me pregnancy would be quite like this!

  • LOL! A few weeks ago I had food poisoning and spent the night puking and peeing at the same time. DH was a trooper and just kept cleaning-up after me. I went through 6 pairs of pajama pants that night.

Whoever said pregnancy is bliss is a liar!

  • Ha!  thats awesome!  been there myself a few times.   I remember watching Friends before I was pregnant and "Rachel" was talking about the joys of pregnancy and she was crying when she mentioned blatter control and how she misses it..... I totally understood this when pregnant with "now" all three babies.

  • When I was pregnant with DS Dh and I would travel back and forth between Canada and Michigan regularly. It was about a 3 1/2 hour trip. This particular time my stomach started to feel really off and funny. I thought maybe I had gas but it wouldn't budge. Finally I realized I am going to poop! I told DH we needed to stop so I could poop but we were in a stretch where there was nothing but farms for 30minutes in either direction. I started to panic. It was snowing like crazy and there was nothing I could do. I looked around the car frantically. We had stopped at the duty free shop on the way over and I grabbed the bag we had. Needless to say the bag was not "duty free" anymore. The car smelled terrible and I knew the only way to get rid of the smell was to roll down the window and pitch the evidence.

Anyway sorry to highjack your post. I thought my story fit pretty good with your topic. Glad you made it to the bathroom and didn't ruin your new pillow!

  • Oh man, every time I puke (which is still a lot), I have to make sure my bladder is empty for this exact reason. I have peed my pants a bunch, but only when puking. Gross!

  • I had a simmliar event happen last night. I was in my towel after getting out of the shower and went to tell DH something, well he offered me a bite of his PB sammich and i had a little nibble and with in 5 minutes i had to run to the bathroom to throw up. not only did i pee myself (i was only in a towel thank god) but i also threw up SO hard that i look like i have black eyes right now from busting the capalaries in my face. it's special. OH! and the bladder controll only gets better! When i was prego with DD it was shortly after our wedding and i think it might have been christmas night or day but we were going to a family party and i sneezed and pee'd ALL OVER MYSELF in my grandmas house hahahahahahahahaha i was standing on a towel for somereason already but still. :P it only gets better is my point. I do hope you get to feeling better though!

I said, "Oh my, what a marvelous tune" It was the best night, never would forget how we moved. The whole place was dressed to the nines, And we were dancing, dancing Like we're made of starlight Like we're made of starlight. ~TS AlternaTickers - Cool, free Web tickers Lilypie Second Birthday tickers Photobucket
