I'm making DD's dress. Our theme is cupcakes. My mom has a lot of monogramming machines so she will put a cupcake, 1 and her name on the dress! I am super excited. I will make a bib to match as well. My sister owns a bow business so she will be making a cupcake inspired bow to match the dress.
I lucked up and found a white onesie with a pink and green "1" on the front. We ended up deciding to do a pink and green party to match her room colors(I'm not much of a theme person) and I saw it the other day and was so excited that it was pink and green too! I bought it back in the Spring when she was tiny
I also bought a pink shirt on Ebay with "Birthday Girl" on the front. She may do the "1" shirt for pictures and the other for her actual party. Check out Ebay. most of those types of shirts are like new since they only wear them on the party day.
Re: If you're getting DD a special outfit for her bday...
I purchased 3 so far - I'll only keep one, but not sure which.
This matches my butterfly theme and her room, but not exactly the colors in the invites: https://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/baby/girls_clothing/dresses/PRD~1001157/Rare+Editions+Butterfly+Seersucker+Sundress++Baby.jsp
This is the other one I purchased that has more of the colors of the party: https://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/baby/girls_clothing/dresses/PRD~1001387/Youngland+Butterfly+Seersucker+Sundress++Infant.jsp
I cannot find the one I purchased from Nordstrom online.
