...what were your earliest symptoms, if you had any?
I am a tiny bit worried about my pregnancy. I've POAS three times and the lines are getting darker but I keep having this twinge of sharp pain, on and off, on my right side. I'm 99% sure this is the side I ovulated from because I usually get ovulation pain on one side or the other and it was definitely on the right this time.
It's not a horrible pain, but it's just sharp and kind of stabby. It's not constant, but has come and gone several times today. I know that some cramping and pain is normal but I am starting to worry because this particular pain seems to be localized to one side.
I am planning on calling my OB if it gets worse or is persistent tomorrow. I am only four weeks so I am not even sure what they would be able to see if they did an ultrasound. I am just looking for some reassurance as this pregnancy is already shaping up to be a lot different from my first.
Re: If you have had an ectopic pregnancy...
Thanks. I have heard of this before, I don't know why it didn't come to mind. That's reassuring!
I remember feeling ovulation type pains on the side I ovulated on too. It was the most uncomfortable the days around my BFP. That also seemed to be the side that I felt her flutters on also. Everything turned out fine for me.
I hope everything is ok with you! Congrats on your BFP and I'm sending you sticky baby vibes!
This exactly. It was still present for my U/S at around 12 weeks and then I guess it just went . Try not to worry too much. And congrats.
But with DD I did have some "ovulation pain" and I still get it now when I ovulate, and sometimes after (which just gets my hopes up that I might be PG...) It can feel pretty stabby. As long as it's not TOO unbearable, I think you're okay!
I had one before I had DD. I did not have any symptoms until it was discovered. After my initial ultrasound, we discovered it was ectopic.
It was too far along and I had to have surgery scheduled. Then the pain started and I couldn't even stand up straight. My DH took me to ER and I had emergency surgery immediately. My right tube was badly damaged and was removed.
I hope for you that it is not ectopic. If you are concerned, go see your doc immediately.
I was quite different..I actually knew something was wrong. Heavy, heavy bleeding; unbelievable cramps. I went in for an exam and I had to be rushed to the ER for Methotrexate.
It sounds like you're good, but it's never a bad idea to be cautious. They finally took my tube & other shiz when we started TTC.
Please keep in mind (as you know), cramping is sooo normal. So is spotting, etc.
Good luck, and please keep us posted. I am a lurker, but I care. For real!
You get a corpus luteum cyst when you ovulate. If the egg is fertilized & implants, it stays & produces progesterone until the placenta forms & can manufacture it on it's own. If the egg doesn't fertilize, then it's supposed to resorb.
Sorry you're having pains though. It could be normal, but I'd call tomorrow to see what they want to do.
