Thoughts on girl family name (clicky)

We are set on Elaina for a first name. We want to use a family name for the mn. I would love to name her after my grandmother Florine. I also have a grandmother Ann. While looking through names, I ran across Floriane, which is a mix between both names. Too weird??

For a mn, I think it's fine. If you were picking it as a fn, I wouldn't have been a fan. I had a student named Flori (flor-ee) and I thinks a cute name.

It's okay. What about Flora? Or I used to know a girl named Flurina, what about that?

Florine is really pretty and different. I would just go with that. The combo is OK, but it does seem like a little bit of a stretch.

This. I think that for the middle name spot meaning/honoring relatives is more important than flow.
