We moved from Jersey City to Summit last year. The train is direct and until last week I worked full time in NYC, as does my husband. During rush hour it takes us about an hour door to door, the train ride is about 35 - 40 minutes.
Summit is a great town - I grew up here and my husband grew up in Short Hills and we knew we would return to the area to raise our children. I do miss JC, but also really like Summit. The proximity to the city is great and we have found excellent restaurants in the area. The schools are excellent - I'm a graduate of Summit High and found it to be great preparation for college. I think Summit is currently ranked 15 in the state.
