So hubby is in a local Semi Pro football league and they made it to the finals for the championship( like the super bowl of the NFL) and we have a 4 hr trip. Due to me being pregnant we decided that we would go down tonight and stay until Sunday. The game is tomorrow.
My stomach is in knots and I am so excited for these guys from a lil small town in Western PA to make it this far. I am looking forward to a room with consistant air conditioning since we only have a window unit in our bedroom since summers usually aren't unbearable like this one has been so far.
However, I am not looking forward to the 4 hr drive. My feet are already swelling from the heat and only packing and I am having problems with RLS and basically just sitting in the same spot for that amount of time with the exception of bathroom breaks, as I am sure I will need a few.
Overall, though looking forward to an amazing weekend and even better if we bring home a win.
Anyone else have anything fun planned for the weekend?
Re: Excited but also dreading...
that sounds like a lot of fun!
Were going to North Carolina for the weekend for my DH's cousins wedding. Im super excited to see the extended family and get to hang out with all of them but its a 5 hour drive with no traffic and we are leaving at 6 or 7 tonight. Not to mention we are bringing one of our dogs. Its gonna be quite the trip.
I used to love road trips and im excited about this one but i know im gonna be uncomfortable. Ive already been sitting in my desk chair since 8am...heres to 5 more hours of sitting
Hope everyone enjoys their weekends!!
and good luck to your dh's team!!
My husband's parents live about a 4 hour drive away... My OB said take a break at least every 2 hours, if not every hour, just to get out and walk around for about 10 minutes (to prevent blood clots and such).
In response to the question, nothing exciting planned here. I just wanted to share the bit about walking (I find it helps my RLP)
