Hi! And a question for you all...

Hi everyone!  I haven't been on here in forever.  Hope all of you and your babies are doing wonderful!  Layla is doing fantastic.  Developing more and more personality everyday.  Still waking me up twice a night, but after waking at 8am, she goes back to bed from 9-12...and so do I!!  Her hair is so long...touching her shoulders in the front.  And she laughs through her nose instead of out loud...if she laughs hard enough she snorts, I love it.

Anyways, quick question on gift etiquette.  My best friend bought me a newborn photo shoot that was quite expensive, over $400.  I wanted to thank her with a photo album of the photos, and I thought of framing 3 of them in a single series frame.  I know normally, people don't really want pictures of your baby on their wall, but I was thinking it would be appropriate as a gesture of thanks for her generous present.  Should I give her a framed wall photo, or is that obnoxious?  Should I just give her an album.

Sascha!!! Layla is so beautiful.  I think she will love the framed photos.  Such a generous gift means she already loves her.  I think she would love a book, too!

I don't think it would be obnoxious at all to give framed pictures of your little girl!  Photo books are a good idea too, I gave each of my bridesmaids one and they all loved them!

I hear you in the sleep thing. My little guy is the same way but goes to sleep in the morning sometimes if we are lucky!

Funny, I was just talking to a few other J12 Mommies about your recently and the one night I sign into The Bump there you are with an update! She is adorable and I'm glad you are both doing well!

I don't think it is obnoxious at all to give her the frame! I think the book is a great idea as well. On the plus side of the book it will likely be kept longer as frames tend to get moved, replaced, etc. as decor/lives/babies change.

I'm not going to add to the opinions on the gift b/c I agree with everyone, but its so good to see your update and your DD is soo cute! I've definitely missed seeing you around!

Thank you all so much for your input....and for the welcome back!!    I will definitely try to pop in here more often!  I left my job so I have plenty of time at least.  I have been on a huge organizing spree the last few months, so that's how I have been spending my down time.  I would love to be a professional organizer, but I am sooooooooo slooooowwww.  I can literally take 4 hours to clean out a single drawer.  I am so indecisive and OCD and being a new mom has brought that out in me even more, haha.  I remember being like this after I had my daughter too.  I have been doing my closet for a week now, well, when Layla will allow it:)

All of your babies are so adorable!!  I will be seeing more of you:)
