Work wouldn't let me out to vote. ?Didn't have time this morning, and when I got home DH was cranky & tired and so were both kids... and I had to pump. ?Along with dinner, baths, etc.
I went out of my way to re-register b/c when we moved we changed districts. ?Dammit. ?I guess this means I don't get to be excited OR whiney tomorrow LOL
Why didn't you stop on the way home...that is what my oldest DD had to do and my oldest DS as well. Your DH was cranky and tired? How old is he? Sorry...people in my family know better than to give me excuses not to vote. I have a good friend that never voted (until this year) and when she would complain about someone in office I would tell her she doesn't have the "right" to complain since she didn't vote. Obviously she could complain all she wanted but I just poo-pooed it.
hopefulmom - No, I couldn't stop on the way to pick up the kids from daycare. ?My daycare lady's son is in the hospital for something really bizarre and had emergency surgery to avoid having his leg amputated. ?Needless to say, she wanted everyone to pick up the kids on time so she could go back to the hospital.?
DH is a royal PITA when he's tired & cranky. ?meaning DD wouldn't have gotten dinner. ?DS doesn't take formula or bottles well, so basically I'd have had to bring him with me and then leave him outside the voting booth while I did it. ?Physically doable, yeah. ?Worth yet another night of cranky DD, no sleep, an awake 7month old, me missing dinner, DD missing dinner.... ?to be honest with you right now I need sleep more than I needed to stand in line for 2 hours with a screaming baby whipping a boob out to feed him.
And I voted before. ?Never said I didn't. ?And I DID say that I knew damned well I have no right to complain now.?
I'm sorry that you didn't get to vote, but I would be kicking my DH's ass up and down the street 20 times if he was too f'n cranky to give DD her dinner.?

Re: didn't get to vote.
Aw! Thats a bummer! I am sorry.
You had every intention of voting, you made an effort, you get to whine or gloat tomorrow. Bubbly says.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
