Blogging Question (NBR)

I have been thinking about starting a blog to chronicle our life, and especially my DS. I don't know where to start though. For those who have a blog, what do you use it for? Also, what site do you go through? I need something easy enough to use, just to add a few pictures and videos, with the words here and there! Share with me your blogging tips, please!! Thank you!

    This is my blog. It was a decorating blog, but recently it's been more of a blog to update everyone on my health and show off pictures of Audrey.

    Lifestyle blogs are really popular. I would just leave the theme at that.
