HPT after IUI question...

Ok so alittle backgroud....went into my RE's office on cycle day 12 for an ultrasound. She said I was ready to go...went home took the ovidrel shot and went in the next am at 930am for my first IUI. (Had taken 50mg clomid cycle day 3-7). AF has been coming between cycle day 24-25 for the past three months. I am scheduled for bloodwork on Friday to see if I ovulated. But not scheduled for bloodwork to determine pregnancy until cycle day 28! My question is, since I am 5 days away from my expected AF date can I take a hpt or will it come up false positive because of the trigger shot! I thought the two weeks would take forever but with the holiday and having vacation this past weekend its moving a little quicker. I just think that bc I am due for AF on cycle day 24 that I should be able to test earlier!

 

Thoughts and Advice would be much appreciated.

Btw: first round of clomid and first cycle of IUI....PRAYING for a BFP next week or sooner!

Rule of thumb is not to test until 2 weeks past trigger. if I am understanding your dates... you triggered CD12 and you are now on CD19 and want to test? Way too early.
