New Pain...

So starting about 3 hours ago, I noticed that I was having a pain behind my ribs.  It's increasingly getting a little worse.  It will hurt for a few seconds, then subside, then come back again.  The only relief I get is from standing up.  

 

I had to take Metamucil last night, so I'm wondering if the pain might be a gas pain (instead of apendicitis)?

 

Anyone have suggestions or have had these pains before?

If it was me, I would just call my insurance plan's pregnancy nurse line. They are very helpful and are not like the hospital nurse line who just tells you to go to the emergency room for fear that something might go wrong and that they would be held accoutable.

Not sure if it's gas or not (it could very well be), but it's definitely not an appendicitis.  Your appendix is much much lower on your abdomen.  When I had an appendicitis attack years ago, and subsequently had my appendix removed, it was was like ovulating pains, only substantially more painful.

Is the pain on the right side under your boob? Mine was my gallbladder and that is where that is.

I took some tums and it has gone away now.  Just some gas pains. Whew.  Thanks for all your responses!
