What does your doc say about sex in 2WW (TMI S/Paif)

I am having a freak out moment. I woke up in the middle of the night having an O and it actually caused my ute to feel like it got a charlie horse. I was crying last night that I ruined everything. I am 3d days past 5 dt for DE IVF. I feel like it would have interfered with implantation because is is "supposed" to take place  between yesterday and today. My past 2 docs said no sex in 2 WW. My clinic who did my DE cycle is very liberal with restrictions and says to go ahead and have sex if you want to. What does your place say?

My clinic says the day after ET regular sexual activity can resume...  I'm sure everything is fine.  Doesn't sex increase blood flow to the ute anyway?  So you may have actually helped things!

Thanks! Good to hear your place allows it. I was literally in tears at 1AM trying to google. I know google is a bad thing. I kept thinking about the purpose of going to acupuncture after transfer is to reduce uterine contractions and this obviously caused uterine contractions.

My clinic said sex in the 2WW is fine. I actually just chose to abstain because of everyone on here who were told they weren't allowed! I am sure it's fine. I am crossing everything that this sticks!!!

I hear ya about O's in the middle of the night. It has NEVER happened to be before until I became pregnant. Now it happens like every two weeks! I hope it's a good sign!

Thanks! I have always gotten them, a few times a month. Usually I do not mind, lol, but I kept thinking about how many girl's docs say to refrain.

No sex until after u/s confirmed pregnancy...and then only if no complications.  But u can't help what ur body does in ur sleep!!

No sex or exercise in the 2WW but when I asked what the rationale was, my clinic said that it was like bed rest after ET, they wanted to be sure patients felt that they had done everything they could to be successful but that they didn't know of any recorded risks from either.

I never had an O that has woke my up execept in my 2ww.  I think you and your babies will be o.k.!

I do remember now that you mention it and I responded how I was afraid that this was going to happen to me! Seeing your beta post today makes me smile even more for you and puts my mind at ease. I has literally been on my mind all day and I have annoyed my friends and DH ??

My RE calls for pelvic rest after ET, but remember lots of women have sex all the time (including the 2ww) and they still get pg.  Hang in there lady!

The same thing happened to me a couple of times during the tww of my first cycle.  I was totally freaking out because my clinic says no sex during the tww either.  But, I had a BFP that cycle even with the sleeping "O"s.

This happened to me during two of my IVF 2ww's (and I had BFPs with both). I woke up freaking out too. My clinic never said anything at all about sex during the 2ww.

This for me too, nothing in the vag and "avoid" orgasm.  But like pps said, I think its more of a precaution that a hard and fast rule.  You can't help what happens in your sleep- I wouldn't spend any more time worrying about it!

i was on pelvic rest due to my RPL but i had an O during 2ww and few times during pregnancy and we're good.  it's one of my BFP symptoms.

I love that sleep O is a pg symptom! At least it is an enjoyable symptom! I will take that any day, just without the charlie horse in my ute ??
