Brilliant hot weather idea
It is ridiculously hot here today (as I think it is a lot of places). We have a kiddy pool and that can be fun, but it means I have to hold the baby the whole time and if my son is acting up I have to take the baby out of the pool to deal with him etc.
Anyway, I got a big beach towel, laid it out on the deck and soaked it with water from the hose. My daughter happily played just as if she were on a blanket normally. It was a stroke of genius if I do say so myself.
