I know a few female Robins of various ages, one of whom is like 25. However, that person has literally ruined this name for me because of her personality and her attempts and breaking up my husband and I.

I understand that reasoning...can't stand Katie for the same reason :P
I grew up with a girl Robin, but I know it can be a boy's name, I just picture it more on a girl. I like that it's uncommon, but still a normal name, but the unisex thing would be a deal breaker for me.
Re: Robin
For a girl or boy?
I think boy because my uncle is Robin and my cousin is Robin jr, but goes by Robbie.
Sorry.
Girl...my DH has an aunt Robin and his name is Robert, so I've considered it.
This was a pretty common name given to girls born in the 1960's and early 1970's. So, most of the Robins out there are middle aged women now.
That being said, I think it's a pretty name and you have a great family connection!
For a girl I prefer the new spin on it- Wren.
I don't know too many girl Robins and I think it is pretty.
I like it for both.
I think I like it better for a boy as on a girl it seems a little dated to me. But I love your family connection to the name and would do it for sure.
I know a lot of Robins my age, so it seems very dated to me.
I understand that reasoning...can't stand Katie for the same reason :P
