I am going to outside tonight watching fireworks adn my parents yard is terrible for mosquitos. Is where any bug spray on the market that is safe on the skin during pregnancy? I have read all sorts of pros and cons and wondering what you all think?
I was told no Deet. Avon Skin So Soft bug spray was rec. I recently went camping and brought reg. Skin So Soft oil spray, and also made a spray bottle mixture of Dr. Bronner's liquid organic peppermint soap and mixed with water. I never had to pull out the Avon bug spray because the Skin So Soft and peppermint spray worked great.
(I got the Peppermint spray tip from a dad at my son's karate who was a Boy Scout leader. He said that is what he always used, so I googled it and it seemed fairly legit)
Yes, Cutter makes one that says Family on the label, use this one. It's kid friendly and pregnant mommy to be friendly. I use it all the time on my pregnant self and on my two year old. Enjoy the the fireworks!
I use the California Babies brand and the Badger Anti-bug balm on me and DD. They are both safe for LOs, chemical free, work well, and can be found at Target.
