I didn't have to wait but there were quite a few people with signs for both sides of Prop 8 where I voted.  Seems like THAT may be the most interesting/close race here in CA.

No would be a vote for gay marriage.

Cubby, in general, when in came to Props, I was a "NO" voter

Prop 8 is to eliminate the right to same-sex marriage, and nullify all same-sex marriages that have taken place since they were legalized here.

Yep, here to EMT...my city is FULL of yes on 8's.  I didn't realize just how conservative it was until I saw 500 yes signs and like 2 no's.  It's definiltly a biggie in CA and I'm interested to see what happens.

I really hope it fails.  I live in Georgia and a lady in my book club who got "married" a couple of months after I did, just went to California and "legally" married her (female) spouse.  She was so happy, even though it is not recognized here.

I am so jealous!  They gave us a "new" polling place in Harveston and literally had only 2 people trying to help all the voters.  There were not that many people in line and people were waiting over 2 hours to vote.  We only had paper ballots, 5 booths and a room the size of my living room to vote in.

I know! There are a shitton of them where I live and work, both big Republican/conservative strong holds. I was going to loose my shit if I saw another sign. I swear they multiplied overnight between Mon and Tues. I hope it's defeated. That's one that I'll anxiously await.

EMT-I think I voted yes on only two of the props, maybe three.

The only thing outside of our election site was a table of goodies...the school kids were selling baked goods.  Mmmmmm.  I didn't go near it but my DH said he looked but didn't know if I'd want anything.  Silly man...of course I would!!!
