I am not sure who is dumber, the poster who said people shouldn't fundraise for adoption or those of you who are happy about our healthcare.  Wow.  I guess ignorance still abounds.

I'm not knowledgeable enough in politics to debate the entire healthcare issue..but I am someone who has personally benefited from Obamacare. I've had top of the line insurance coverage for the past year thanks to being able to pay into my Dad's plan until I'm 26. So, for me it's been a real blessing...and by the way, I'm not dumb.

I take it KS3PINK has never had to try and buy healthcare on her own, and been denied because of migraines or any other reason. I know a person who was denied because she had ?lumpy? breast and had a risk factor for breast cancer.

While I think that there are good parts and bad parts. I don?t believe in denying someone healthcare because of a ?pre-exciting? condition.

Oh you would be dead wrong there.  Private insurance for me would run well over 1000 bucks a month.  That is why I went tp school and got a good job with good benefits.  We will see if you all are still so happy when your taxes go sky high and you have to travel out of the country for emergency surgery.  Do your research, I did a paper on Denmark's healthcare and intervewed people living there when I was in college.  It is terrible.  And when your baby is sick and can't be seen for days, yeah you will hate "Obamacare".

Oh you wrote a paper! On Denmark no less! Well stop the presses, this betch is a fuckings expert.

Guise, how can your puny minds hope to argue with her paper... on Denmark... that she wrote herself even? I bet it had properly cited sources, a coherent argument and everything.

Another UO: I totally think that ks3pink says most of the stuff she does because she gets off on getting flamed.

    Agreed.

Nope.  I have my beliefs and values just like everyone else and have just as much right to voice them.  I also hate that people don't do their own research on things, they listen to what others think and don't think it through for themselves.

Please excuse my 'ignorance', but using 'the bible says so' as your only reason for believing that homosexuality is a sin and a choice sounds a lot like going with what you've been told rather than seeking out the truth for yourself.

I still have not figured out where the bible says homosexuality is a sin.

    I make cute babies.

I'm not as dumb as someone who thinks that because their religion is opposed to gay marriage, it should be law in a country that separates church from state.

My UO may or may not actually be a UO, but I think that being scared of 'socialism' is ridiculous. Is Canada's system perfect? By no means, but as I've said before, I am very happy to pay higher taxes so that I, my family, and the people around me have access to health care no matter what their financial situation.

I had to take my dog to the vet this week for x-rays and a cast on his leg, all the while worrying about how much it was going to cost. I cannot imagine being in the same situation with my son. I am very thankful to live in a country where I can take Wyatt to the doctor without having to worry about my bottom line or my insurance.

I am glad of Canada's health care system, when I had my strokes, I would not have been able to afford the care in the US.  When we lived in the US for 10 months, the health system was great for a while, but dealing with insurance sucks, and we had good insurance DH got working for the government.  It was still not enough, I would not be pregnant now if we didn't move back to Canada, my medicine was costing too much because the insurance stopped paying for it.  Now in Scotland, I think this system is the best, medicine is fee, healthcare is free and there are no long waits like in Canada.  If I need an echocardiogram they give me one right away, no waiting for months, even in the US there were weeks of waiting for these procedures.
