So this morning, MH and I were making plans on how to spend the day. We still have to save $1100 in the next 7 weeks to pay off the rest of the garage roof, so we can't spend too much money.
Now, before I was pretending to be an adult (so, like, what-- back when I was only 30, 33), I would have made myself feel better by having bought a game console, a new kitchen gadget, some fantastically expensive but gorgeous article of clothing, or gone on a road trip to visit one of my far-off friends.
Now, however, this is how a TRUE rock star does retail therapy at age 37:
MH and I are going to go to Target (45 mins away) and I'm going to buy some Fruit Of the Loom cotton underwear, baby! Oh yeah. Don't be jealous and hatin' on me because I know how to spend the Benjamins, Ladies! Don't be choking on your Crystal while I'm tossing back some ginger ale and laying down the moolah on this swanky new swag...
I feel so sexy and hot right now, I don't know how y'all can stand to be on the same message board with me right now...

I wish we had a Target.
When I visit my girls (who live in NC and Chicago) we pronounce it "Tarjay" to make it sound posh.

Okay, the Target in Topsham was LAME!! The only freaking empty rack was the size and style and brand of underwear I wanted. Seriously?!? I thought I had it pretty together but I must still be hormonal because it made me start to cry.
So I walked out of Target with nothing-- I'll have to wait until this Saturday when I can go to the one in South Portland to get my underwear.
I DID, however, manage to get a nice scrub top for work. Nice and springy-summery...

ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive. Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)
DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!
No kidding! At least you didn't walk out of there empty-handed.
Oh I didn't find the scrubs at Target-- which I also pronounce as "Tarzjay" because it's swanky and I'm a rock star (
)-- I don't even know if they sell them there, but it would be AWESOME if they did!
But since everything in Maine is so far away, it is always better to drive somewhere that has a few possible options-- so my favourite scrub shop is a couple doors down from this particular Target...
