Do you have any guilt trying for another baby?
This is something that DH and I have actually discussed quite a bit. And we've both agreed from the building that we don't feel guilty about trying for another baby. For us it's no different than trying to get pregnant again if we had a living child. It's a sibling, not a replacement.
Do you have any superstitions or old wives tales that affect how you TTC?
No superstitions. In fact, I didn't know that there were superstitions about TTC. I'd be interested to read some, though
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
I posted about this last night, but mostly just how we were the first of our friends to get pregnant and now the last to take home a baby. It doesn't seem fair and I'm a little bitter about it. Right now, as silly as this sounds, if one of our friends told us that they were pregnant with their second before we got pregnant again, I think I would lose it. So I'm feeling the pressure a little, I guess...
Do you have any guilt trying for another baby?
No, we are also pretty clear that we are trying for a sibling, not a replacement for Patricia. In fact, my brother and I are only 13 months apart and I've always liked that so we might have been ttc this fall anyway.
Do you have any superstitions or old wives tales that affect how you TTC?
No, but I do keep thinking that it should go exactly how it did with Patricia because even though she had to leave us, my pregnancy was great.
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
In the 2ww! This first cycle trying has been really rough. I was obsessed with taking my temperature when I was waiting to o, which I didn't do until CD21. I was disappointed because with Patricia I o'd on CD15 and I wanted it to be the same this time. DH has to constantly remind me that we're not working with the same body we were a year ago. Now I'm desperately hoping my LP will be long enough to support a pregnancy. My last LP was 6 days

No, not in trying for another baby.
Do you have any superstitions or old wives tales that affect how you TTC?
Nope - we really don't have any options on that. We just do what the RE tells us to do!
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
We had our embryo transfer this past tuesday. We did a single embryo since the doctors think the multiple gestation is what caused our losses last time. Now I'm freaked out that either this one won't take, or it will take and split like last time and we'll end up with multiples anyway. Just trying to stay calm as best I can. We go in for a beta on July 5th - so one week from today! We're also taking from the 4th thru the weekend off, so I'm happy that DH will be able to go with me and we'll be together when we get the call.

No real guilt about trying. I think it will be hard when I am pregnant though to bond with another baby and that I might feel guilt about that.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?
I am currently waiting to ovulate. We've had a tank of sperm sitting in our house since Saturday and we have family coming to visit tomorrow. Usually I would have gotten a + OPK by this day in my cycle so I am starting to get impatient. It would have been nice to be done with the insemination before my family got here. It's not a huge deal, but because it is frozen sperm we have to be pretty precise with the timing. What we did before when I got pregnant was inseminate 8 hours after the + and then again about 20 hours after that with the thought that frozen sperm can live at most 12-24 hours and should be waiting for the egg. I guess if need be we will just have to interrupt our visit whenever we need to should I end up ovulating this weekend (I hope it's not longer than that--the sperm is only guaranteed to be good for so long in the in the tank!).
