SA results - can't figure out what it all means

The doc called DH a week or so ago but he had a terrible connection and was at work at the time, so he didn't ask many questions or get much info on the call.  I was finally able to get his results on line.  Any thoughts on these numbers?  There wasn't as much explanation for his as there was for my test results.

Re: SA results - can't figure out what it all means

  • The formatting of your C & P makes it really difficult to read, so basically don't give much thought to what I'm about to type--instead you should call his doc to discuss the results.

In my non-medical opinion it looks like he has a good sperm count, but his motility looks low and his morphology might be low, too.

I can't really tell from the formatting but I would agree with this also.  Looks like his motility may be on the low side.

  • Yeah, the format doesn't make it easy, but I'm getting the same thing...low motility and morphology.

  • Sorry about the formatting - looked ok on my Mac at home.

Thanks for the info.  DH will be having a second sample in the next month or so to confirm.

  • If I'm reading it correctly through the funky format - it looks like morphology is a concern. Looks like only 2%  normal shaped. Motility also looks low. However, overall count is good. Good luck.

  • Correct me if I am wrong, because I am still very new to this, but from what I have read, you want 14% morphology at the low end, right?
