A friend of mine has been a wealth of information on this move for me. This week she helped me out not only by introducing me to some of her friends who have nanny and au pair connections, but a realtor and she drove me around to different neighborhoods near her that would be ideal. She also had Evie play at her house while I looked at houses in the evening so Evie could get a break from all of it.
I want to send her and her kids a gift that is uniquely Southern or Atlanta-n. Any idea? Her kids are 7 and 9 (girl and boy, respectively). Can I ship Firefly vodka? Any other ideas of things that would ship well? I don't want to just send flowers.
Thanks.
Re: I need gift help!
Express ship a box of Chick-fil-As?
When my sister lived in Brooklyn, whenever she flew home to Atlanta, CFA was her last stop before boarding the plane back. She could usually get a CFA sandwich home to her husband and it still be warm.
Also, Hugh Acheson (Empire State South) has a new Southern cookbook out. She might like that.
peach jam or peach candy? Or I like the Southern cookbook idea.
Myrall my friend that lives in NYC does the exact same thing with CFA, lol.
Kim used to work at this place called Touch of Georgia. They have gift baskets.
