LO is just so into everything right now, as well as beginning to be more clear in his communication, so I feel like we're constantly having moments of hilarity. I thought it would be fun to share what the kiddos are up to these days.
So, what's the funny/cute/silly thing your LO has done lately?
Andplusalso: kegels. There. It had to be said.
Re: The crazy/silly thing your LO did recently...
LO is cruising like a madman, everywhere, all the time. And getting to the point where he avoiding crawling to cruise instead. Today, he cruised himself along the couch, along the end table, and then he was holding onto my glider, which of course began to go back and forth. Suddenly there is this panicked shrieking...like "Mom! Get me off this ride!" I tried to get him to sit down, or reach back to the end table, but he required rescuing. He hugged me so tight when I picked him up. "Thanks Mom, that was close!"
Also, an old family friend made a wooden rocking chair for LO. It isn't exactly toddler friendly, so I stashed it in my room. Now on the rare occasion LO is in there, he makes a beeline for it, climbs up into it, stands up facing the back, holds onto the top rung on the back with one hand, waves the other hand in the air, and rocks back and forth. We call this Rocking Chair Rodeo. Of course, I immediately sit him down in it. Although now he appears to understand the phrase "we sit on our bottoms!"

I've been trying to teach her to cover her mouth when she burps, so I'll say "excuse me" and put her hand on her mouth. I also tell her to say excuse when when she toots. Yesterday she tooted and goes "oh" and then put her hand over her mouth.
Also, hubby made flying noises with her food the other days just for fun so she now makes her food fly into her mouth, noises and all.
She has been slapping, scratching, and pinching my hand. Sometimes she does it when she is upset; sometimes she does it for a reaction. As soon as she hits/scratches me, she stops and stares at me straight faced. It's so cute and funny, but I don't laugh, of course. (My BFF almost lost it when she saw it in action)
Anyway, I redirect with "gentle". She responds to "gentle" by putting her head on my hand, rubbing my arm, and saying "awwwwww". Sometimes she throws in a slobbery kiss for good measure.
Haha. Too funny.
