2nd Trimester

Cramping at 26 weeks....?

Yesterday and a bit this morning I've had a mild cramping feeling. No other symptoms of anything, but it's worse when i'm up and doing little things around the house (goes away when I lay down). Anyone had this? Should I be concerned?

I had cramping in the 1st trimester, but I didn't think that was supposed to happen now?

Baby has been pretty active in there, so that makes me feel better...

  • Its probably Braxton Hicks contractions.. they are nothing to be worried about unless they get more intense or keep happening. Try drinking a couple big glasses of water.. a lot of people get more BH in the summer because they get dehyrated..

  • I have the same thing and asked about it at my appointment this morning. If they are lower in the abdomen like period cramps or something that is probably round ligament pain, if your entire stomach is tensing and cramping it's probably Braxton Hicks and if it happens a couple times through the day it is fine but if you have more than 4-6 in an hour go to the hospital.

That's what she told me just this morning hope it helps! :)

    Good luck darlin' :)

  • Put your feet up and drink lots of water. You might just be dehydrated. But be careful...my contractions felt like menstrual cramps at first. I would call your doctor if they continue. GL!
