Baby Name Wizard?

Does anyone have a subscription to the baby name wizard website? I've played around with the free services and it seems cool, but I'm not sure if the paid subscription is worth it. We've got time, but DH and I are on totally different wavelengths when it comes to names. Going through really long lists of random names together is not helpful! lol

Also, when did you start getting serious about narrowing down a list? Did you/are you waiting to know the sex or coming up with a short list for each or what?

I don't know anything about Baby Name Wizard so I can't comment on that, but as for coming up with names, with DD and DS we came up with a short list starting around now and had a final girl and boy name going into the A/S. I'd love to do the same this time so that we can start calling this baby by a name as soon as we know what it is!

I was just on the Baby Name Wizard site!  Must be because of the earlier post about girls names. Anyway, I was also just trying to use the free stuff, but didn't find a whole lot. I hope you get some good respnses,  I'm curious, too.

I haven't used Baby Name Wizard, but in terms of timing, DH and I have separate lists still, and we're slowly starting to talk about thinking about combining them and getting to a short list. I don't want to know the baby's sex, but DH does know, but he's not giving anything away. 

At 23 weeks I do feel we have plenty of time. I don't want to have named the baby before we've met it.

Sorry I was no help wrt the Baby Name Wizard. I think there are so many free resources out there, that surely you can do without a paid one?

we are team green and 22 weeks and have not even started talking names yet...haha with DS it didnt come up until closer to 27-30ish weeks.  we have alot on our plates right now trying to buy/sell a home and i am sure once thats settled we will begin to work on names.  I of course havea  few already on a list but not sure how DH feels about them. no help with baby name wizard

I keep googling baby girl names then traits like pretty, unique, strong, etc. You could do the same for baby boy names. Some sites google brings up are nameberry and nymbler. I feel between all the sites you are not stuck looking at just lists of names. I like that nameberry has alot of suggestions and forums and I feel that the people on those forums have a different perspective than the people on thebump's baby name board. Good luck!
