*Brave* the movie (no real spoilers) review.

So I went to see BRAVE last night with a friend, because we were thinking of bringing our little girls (3yr).

The movie was awesome, but there were some pretty loud and scary parts - too scary for kids. I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 7 or 8 - which is too bad because the not so scary parts were really cute and funny! And it sends a good message for girls/moms.

So basically this is my warning/PSA to moms with kiddos - there were quite a few parents who left about 15 minutes in because their kids got too scared of the bear fights.

Yeah my two year old was scared of the preview... we won't be taking him.

My daughter is SO excited to go. She is worried she will be scared, though.  We have the book at home and she knows the story and all about the bears.  We wil see how it goes, but she's been counting down to when she can see it (next week). She three, almost four, years old.

I think if you guys have been reading the book, it might be ok. She'll know what's coming. It's quite loud, and the bears are scary. But the rest of the movie is SOOO good!

My 3-year old loved it. But I can see how it would be too scary for some.

We took our 2.5 year old. She did bury her head in daddy during the bear fights, but other than that really enjoyed it. But she tends to handle movies really well for her age.

We took our 3 year old yesterday.  She really liked it.  She was definitely scared of some parts, she'd curl up on me or DH, but then she's relax and watch again.
