My RE orders 3 days of bed rest post transfer. Drives me insane. Curious as to how many days of bed rest others have done with success post transfer? Thanks![Poll]
2nd ectopic resulted in loss of tube. HSG revealed remaining tube is "severely torqued".
IVF #1: ER 03/29/10; ET 04/01/10: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 (9dp3dt)- 45; Beta #2 (11dp3dt)- 91= BFP
FET#1: ET 04/18/12: transferred 4 embies; Beta #1: >2 = BFN
IVF #2: ER 06/20/12; ET 6/25/12: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 on 7/5/12= BFN
8/16: hysteroscopy for polyp removal
11/11: hysteroscopy #2 for yet another polyp removal
FET#2: ET 12/15/12: transferred 3 embies; Beta #1 (9dp5dt): 12/24/12: 426; Beta #2 (11dp5dt): 845= BFP u/s 1/9= triplets!; miscarried all three on 1/10/13...
My RE didn't believe in bedrest. I had a sticky BFP and BFNs without bedrest. I think bedrest is overkill. You have to remember that fertile people get pg all the time and go about their normal activities, including some who are runners. Just my 2 cents.

My RE doesn't order bedrest however I took it upon myself to take it easy and not do much for 2 days. I have done 2 IVF cycles and gotten pg on both! GL!
Glad to hear about your successes-- and that they happened w/o bed rest. I've read that bed rest is debatable and more of an old school belief. Especially since women do get pregnant all the time w/o knowing it go about with their normal routines and strenuous activities and go on to deliver full term.
I did the bed rest thing the first IVF and for my FET (IVF worked and FET failed) but like I said it drove me insane. I think this time around I will take the 3 days off work, but just take it easy instead of laying around all day. DH is already having a fit about it though.
Thanks!

My first IVF - no bed rest - BFN. I decided to do bedrest on my 2nd IVF and I got pregnant. So in my head, I had to do bedrest when I went for #2. My RE told me it was unnecessary and there was no evidence to suggest it helped, but I did it anyway and got pregnant with bedrest again. I felt like it wasn't hurting me and if I hadn't gotten pregnant, I would have wondered if would have worked had I done bedrest. Plus, bedrest got me out of going to my in-laws for Thanksgiving. Shhhhh
3 IUI's and 2 IVF's later- Brady arrived. Born at 36 weeks after PUPPS and pre-e/HELLP.
IUI- BFN IVF #1 -BFP! Allie is our 2nd IVF baby. Born at 36 1/2 weeks after pre-e again
