In the past day or so, Charlie has started doing the most random things that he's never done before - including all kinds of new word and calling me Mommy!
This evening, I started singing Old McDonald and he chimed in with an "EIEIO" right on cue. I guess they sing it at day care? After dinner I was cutting up grapes for broccoli salad and he was at my feet doing the "more" sign saying, more more more! Then before bed, he came up to me with a book and said, "Bookie! Read!" and got up in bed so I could read it to him.
I can't believe it. He's finally getting words back after all those ear infections. Makes me so happy. :-)
ETA: fixed my crappy grammar.
Re: Who is this kid?! (AW)
Aw, yay for Charlie! N's been talking a lot lately too - isn't is exciting? They are getting so big!
Has he had any infections with the tubes? I haven't asked you about them. I know we had two infections after tubes, but they have been a huge blessing overall! It's so nice to know your baby can HEAR! He had his adnoids out too right?
That's awesome! So happy for Charlie.
G just started saying "love you.". Melts my heart every time.
So far so good for the tubes! Its been about 2 1/2 weeks which is the longest he's gone without an infection since March. I know getting one or two initially is normal, so I'm waiting for it, but hopefully he can avoid that.
And yes, he had his adnoids out too which has helped a ton too. He hasn't had a runny nose/throat issues/snoring since.
He's going back next Friday for his follow up and I can't wait to see how his hearing test goes. He seems to be hearing SO much better now. It really is amazing how such a little change can help so much.
