Anyone used a sparkling water in a cake mix? Ive tried coke before in a chocolate mix and it was ok, chewy, but the kids didnt care. I like the idea of a sparkling water-seems lighter and fresh. Our party is in a week and im running out of time. Ive used the applesauce thing and the egg replacer in the past, all with bad results-no rise in the middle; dry and/or chewy...theres got to be something out there that works and is good!!!

I've never heard of the sprite thing & I'm intrigued! Are you just replacing the volume of milk in the recipe with the same volume of sprite?
