Grandpa Update: Thanks again for the Prayers

I posted a week or so ago about my grandpa. Originally worst case scenario was altzheimers, then the testing came back cancer lesions in the brain. Meaning there had to be cancer somewhere else. All results were not showing cancer anywhere so then they were thinking possibly just brain cancer, which would be worse.

So yesterday he met with neurologist. Blood work actually showed Leukemia. This was good news b/c it is a treatable leukemia. Doctor thinks the lesions in brain are from the leukemia. A lumbar test will be done to confirm that lesions in brain are not full on brain cancer. Once confirmed they will treat leukemia with chemo and brain lesions with radiation. The best news was he should get his function loss back. That is what we were hoping for more than anything.

His memory is great and you would never even know something is wrong with him. He still wrestles with my little girl. However he will try to do his crosswords and will know the answer but can't figure out where he should write the answer. Or, he will try to write an A and will write an E. Worst thing is he can't play golf anymore. When he swings he misses the ball. That has been very hard on him, according to my grandma, he never shows any signs of being bummed out. He is such an amazing strong man.

So I am thanking you ladies for the additional prayers b/c they are working.
