Since I usually bump at work and can't use/see gifs, I've never tried to add one.  I know pasting a URL as is won't work.  What's the trick?

I use tinypic & post the image code right in the message.

I just copy the image code from photobucket

If you want to avoid the save and upload technique, you can right click an image, go to "properties" on IE and highlight / copy the image URL, or on Google Chrome / Firefox, just his "Copy Image URL". Then paste that between img tags.
