When to start dance classes?

Google has lots of different opinions on the topic...  So, when did you/would you start your child in dance classes?

I've been toying with the idea of putting E in a dance class soon.  I think she would like it now.  She was so introverted a few months ago that I don't think she would have liked it but she's coming out of her shell these days.

For us, it'll be when we have the money, sadly. They do have classes for 2's through the county but at most dance places, they have them for 3 and older. I'm aiming for next year with C.

We started (through DD's school) when she was a little younger than 3.  Its just ballet for now.  If we were doing more formal/independent classes, I might wait until she was closer to 4.

We started Ava when she was 2 1/2. It was rough for her the first few weeks but after that she loved it.

We started my DD at age 3 with a "ballet" class through the rec program up here. She really did love it and it was cute.
