Maybe your experience will be different? I found 8 to be an excellent and amazing age.
I loved age 4. I have a 5 and 7 year old. They're asleep right now. I love the little people they have become. and it is way more fun to take them on vacation these days. that's pretty much all i've got.

I do not miss parenting a toddler. I do miss the chubby legs and cheeks, though.

Emerson was one of my top name picks for our little boy, but one of the reasons we decided against it was that it was trending as a girl's name. Still love it, though, boy or girl.
Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.

I've never really kept up on any of the boards that concern my 4 yr old. She is such an easy girl...
It seems that the older the kids get, more moms just drop off the boards....
I have kids over the age of 3, but I'm busy neglecting them to talk about abortiony stuff and mushroom vaginas.
Because let's be frank: Kids over the age of 3 are boring and stinky.
