newbie to the board

Hey ladies! Im new to the Bump, so bear with me. I guess I'll introduce myself instead of just creeping on this board! haha.  Im 23 and have been married since 10-8-11. Me and my DH have been ttc since Jan. AF didnt show up the first 2 months of trying. So I went to my OBGYN and he found out I wasnt ovulating. He put me on Clomiphene Citrate 50 mg. No O. The 2nd round of it, he bumped it up to 100 mg. And I did O but didnt concieve. Same thing happend on the 3rd round of it. I called my Dr to ask what to do and he wants to see me again. So I have another appt July 5th to talk with him. I know we havnt been ttc for a long time, but my mom had problems (10 years worth) so I have always been super scared it would happen to me! Me and the DH are keeping this a secret for a while. I dont want a lot of attention bc of it. It's stressful enough. So basically, I just need somewhere where people understand what Im going through. None of my friends have had any issues, so they are not much help! lol I just feel like Im the only one going through this (even though Im not) and I dont have anyone to lean on. My DH is super supportive, but tbh he's a man.....men cant fully understand! lol

How did your OB find out you're not ovulating? What tests did he run?

Ok this is so strange. You're SN is basically the same as mine (Nikki instead of Lizzy), I'm only a year older than you and we got married on the exact same day. We've been trying since Oct. though...what a mess coming off BCPs can be! What a weird coincidence

Welcome and good luck to you! I know how frustrating it is to just hear "relax and it will happen" or "you're young so don't worry about it" over and over. My friends all got KU easily as well. Hang in there and hopefully your stay will be super short!

Sorry this has taken so long to reply. I went to youth camp to Missouri with my church (as a chaperone lol)! When we first started trying the dr drew blood and tested my thyroids (bc my mom has problems) and that was fine. He didnt do anything to see if I was Ovulating. I hadnt started my period on my own in 3 months. Then when I got put on the medicine, he drew blood after the 2nd month and it showed that I had ovuated. Im VERY new to all this lingo about tt. lol So some of that, I have no clue what you mean. Looks like I need to go back to the newbie board and read up! lol

 

And Lizzy, that is so crazy! lol I hate hearing "you have time" "you're young" blah blah blah. I know that people mean well, but it's easy for them to say when they dont know how it feels. GL to you too Lizzy! Maybe both of us Oct 8th girls will be off here soon! lol
