2nd Trimester

toenails...

I can't reach them comfortably, especially long enough to try and paint them or remove the polish. I can't stand for anyone to touch my feet. the nail polish I have on them has been there forever and some of my toenails are completely bare. LOL what the heck do I do? Just wait until the rest of the polish comes off? or suck it up and let my husband try to remove it for me? I know there are a lot worse things in life that could happen but it is sandal weather people! My toes look hideous! hahaha

Re: toenails...

  • You can always just cut and file and/or polish change.. its not as long as a regular pedicure and much more bearable.

Or, have your DH do it for you (good luck, it's usually like watching a 2 year old handle a crayon)

I was in the same boat as you.  I ended up letting my husband take off the old polish.
  • Could you put up with him removing the polish, then just not polish them again? I don't do mine because I work police style workboots all day, and its pointless to do it. As long as your toes are clean and not fungus-y it would look fine. Or just clear nail polish, and it won't look as bad when it comes off.

  • Lol! This is me, too. I can still bend comfortably - but in the last 6 weeks I have broken both of my little toes. How does that happen to a person!!! I MUST get something done though.  I'm thinking about going ahead and getting a pedi - just telling the gal to just remove polish...put on new polish - none of the fancy foot rub/massage thing for me!

  • I find the easiest way is to sit on the bed and pull my legs in to me instead of trying to bend over my bump to do it.
  • i make DH paint my toenails :P i feel bad, but i need someone to do it! i can barely reach!

Suck it up and get pedicures!

My DH attempted mine when I was pregnant with LO and it was horrible. We both agreed the money spent on frequent pedicures was worth it! I do buy the best polish I can with the longest wear time. That way I can get by with monthly pedicures!
