We have gotten so many push toys for her, and she does not care for them at ALL. She does walk on her own (not very well--she still falls a lot) and she loves walking with you holding her hand, but is really resistant to ANY kind of toy that you have to push. (We have three of them--a fisher price one, a playskool step and ride, and an imaginarium one.) She literally uses it for two minutes and then decides to crawl or walk to where she needs to go.
I thought most kids LOVED push toys....she did get a stroller for her birthday and now I am hesitant to open it because of her lack of interest in the other ones.
Re: Anyone else's LO not a fan of push toys?
Are they really sturdy push toys? Dd only liked her shopping cart until she was really sturdy on her feet because it was not likely to tip if she lost her balance, while the other push toys we have would fall with her (scary).
Ds, at three, loves to push around toy strollers, so even if it doesn't work for her now, it might in the future.
My kid pushes them through the house (very quickly) screaming, "VROOOM, VROOM!!!"
It's really cute.
