But...but...does the credit actually COUNT toward a DEGREE?
If not then I think they just want your money.
If so then...educational system going down the tubes and all that jazz.
I see it as a filler credit. I had to take a random 1 hour course to fulfill my hours. The class I took was water aerobics. I think I would have preferred zombie preparedness had I been given the choice.

Yeah I think it probably counts as an 'elective' credit.

OK I am a big fat nerd, and I realize that there are "filler" classes that might not be the most valuable but that are a way to kill a couple of credit hours. But water aerobics or golf at least make you a more well-rounded person or contribute to your health.
I guess if you're going into film or the arts maybe but I just don't see "value" in this class and it kind of annoys me.
Yes, I realize I'm irrationally annoyed.
LMAO Zombies are real! And one day you will wish you took this class!
Point being even "electives" are supposed to add value to your education and over all well-roundedness as a person. Not just be "fluff" for the school to capitalize on.
I'm over thinking this.

It is so totally opposite for a music major when it comes to gen-eds. All of my science/comp/psyc/whatnot classes were totally the ones that were making me "well rounded". My electives were chorus, voice lessons, band, and theater, which were the ones that were actually more pertaining to my degree.
I do agree with you that the zombie class is a waste.

I would take that class.

I would rather pretend that zombies do not exist.
