How on Earth did I miss a tooth?!?

So Audrey was a bit fussy on Saturday.  I decided to check and see if I could feel a tooth coming in.  To my shock, there was definitely a tooth.  A fifth tooth already completely broken through and sharp.  How the heck did I miss this?  I have no clue when it broke through.  I feel like a terrible mom for not realizing she was teething.  Crying

    I didn't realize DD had 3 molars!  Don't feel bad.  We were playing and she opened up wide and she has three molars poking through, she wasn't too fussy so I never checked, plus her top teeth just came through and I thought it would be a while.

    Don't feel bad!  M had a molar partially through before I noticed.  Now she's working on another molar and another non-molar at the same time.  Ugghhh.  That makes 11 teeth once those are in.

    Don't feel bad! I completely missed DS's first 2 teeth. I called our sitter to check on him and she said "I see he sprouted teeth!" and I said "WHAT!!" I had no idea, he was an easy teether : )

    What? I had no idea molars could come in soon. I'll have to look in his mouth. I have to wait til he smiles wide to see his 5th and 6th teeth coming in, he does not stand for me poking around in there.

    I just noticed DS first molar had popped through yesterday. No idea how long it's been in there - I had been checking!

    You ladies shouldn't feel bad! You should be proud that LO isn't too bothered by them. DD has made sure I know about every single tooth she's gotten Smile

    I think from here on out i won't know if she has a tooth coming in. I made the mistake last week of sticking a finger in her mouth to feel around and still have a blood blister.
