A Glimmer of Hope! :)

Got my daily fert report call. She opened with "I have some good news for you!"

So here's the story as I understand it. On Thursday, they got 8. When they do conventional (non-ICSI) fertilization at my clinic, they don't test for maturity. Since we have had two BFP's on our own (although we lost both), they didn't anticipate that fertilization was a problem and didn't anticipate needing ICSI. At the 24 hour mark, none had fertilized. Since we had signed the release for rescue ICSI, they did that. To do so, they DO test for maturity, since they only ICSI the properly mature eggs. At that point, yesterday morning, all 8 were mature so they ICSI'd all of them.

At this point, 3 have failed to do anything at all. 2 others have 2 polar bodies, but not 2 nuclei. The last 3 have gone one step further and have 2 polar bodies AND 2 nuclei. So I guess at this point, that is our trio of hope.

It's small hope, but for the next 24 hours, it's what we are holding on to!

Beta 1: 1600+, Beta 2: 4588

    Sending lots of growing vibes to your 3 amigos!
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
    IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
    Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13

    1st u/s on 10/10/12: It's Twins! We found out on 12/16/12 that we were having two BOYS!
    C & D were born on 5/16/13 at 10:46 am and 10:47 am

    IVF #1 never made it to transfer
    On "egg health" cocktail DHEA/CoQ10/FRC/Pregnitude/Melatonin
    Starting IVF #2 for Feb 2013
    Follistim/Menopur/Ganirelix
    Cancelled mid-cycle due to high P4 levels early on.
    OCPs again for IVF 2.5 mid-March. IVF 2.5 transferred two "gorgeous" 5-day blasts and BFFN. Even REI is baffled
    On indefinite hold until a huge stroke of serendipity led me to IVF 3 May 2014
    Testing found positive cardiolipins/APS, now on lovenox and intralipid infusions
    Transfer of 2 5-day blasts and (FINALLY) BFFP!! 1st ultrasound shows two sacs and two HB, but one is sluggish, almost expecting vanishing twin Subsequent ultrasound confirmed vanishing twin, but my other Little critter looks fantastic!

    me (36): Hypothyroid (on Levothroid), low vit. d, borderline/high fsh (day 3: between 7-10) (day 10: 13 during CCCT), AFC: 14
    dh (31): awesome (minus one sample with agglutination)
    Diagnosis:possible DOR and/or unexplained + elevated NK cells + MTHFR (C677T - one copy)

    MAY 2011 - FEB 2012 - 3 injectable IUI's with numerous cancellations due to high TSH levels
    MAY 2012 - onto IVF/ICSI (Antagonist Protocol) on BCP and Folgard (3 week delay - cyst - boooo) 5/21 start stims 5/30 ER 11R 8M 3F 6/2 3DT of 3 6/12 Beta #1 83 | 6/14 Beta #2 196 | 6/21 Beta #3 3818 | 6/28 Beta #4 22,213 | 7/2 1st U/S - 2 on board! 8/24 CVS reveals that we have a boy AND a girl on board!

    Healthy baby boy and girl born in February, 2013 at 38 weeks and 2 days!
