Did you put your baby's birth weight and length on a birth announcement? I've never seen one without it, but I'm afraid i i send out announcements with 3 pounds 8 ounces, people might freak out and worry. We have a photo shoot next week, and I'm looking through announcement designs now.
BTW, can anyone recommend affordable announcements?
TIA!

Re: Birth Announcements
We are going to put Dom's birth weight on his baby announcement. We are waiting to send his out until next month since he just had his 4 month photo session.
We are getting the oh-so-mod birth announcement books from minted. They are definitely not as affordable as those Costco ones from the pp, but we are doing this so people can see a photo we took of him in the NICU, one from his "newborn session" (although he was already over a month old), one from his 4 month session and a photo of the three of us. Each photo will have additional information about him.
Thanks! I will check that site out. :-)
I'd love to see!
Thanks to everyone. I will check out these sites. Our newborn photo session is Wednesday, and we can't wait!
We haven't sent ours out yet because we wanted to wait until after his due date to include a photo and stats from then. We're going to do folded cards. On the inside, one side will say "birth date" with his birth weight, length, etc., with the one photo of when he was first born.
The other side will say "due date" with the weight and length he was on his due date (he was 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 20.5" long... a little better-sounding than his birth weight of 2 pounds 8 oz.!)
On the front, I'll use this photo (after I clean up the background) that I took a few days after his due date, with the words "Look what sprouted early!" (or something like that... I think his hat makes him look like a little bean sprout!).
Peanut Butter and Jelly!

Adorable pic! I think that's a great idea to put the two different sets of statistics.
Thank you! It'll look better once I have the cleaned up and the marks from his apnea/brady monitor belt Photoshopped out.
I used a website called purple stork:
https://blog.purplestork.com/search/label/preemie (don't know how to make link)
Mine were like the one in the example for Isabel. I liked being able to include the birth as well as homecoming info, and have the three photos on the side that showed a progression of sorts. They weren't cheap, but in the end I was thrilled with the final product.
Thanks. I hadnt seen that site before. I've bookmarked it!
FYI, I just got an email from from Purple stork with a coupon code for 30% off your order. Code is summer12. The email said it only runs through June 22nd but that you can preorder up to 6 months in advance even if you don't have the pictures yet.
Thanks!
I put her birth stats and coming home stats.
The "main" picture was taken after she was home, looking like a regular term baby. But towards the bottom, there were three smalker black and white pictures. One of those was a nicu picture with the cords and everything.
I got mine at shutterfly. I used a discount code and that $20 off I got from registering at target, and spent about $15 for 50 announcements.
