Chianti, Shiraz, Cabernet, and Riesling, but I'll drink almost anything. We live close to a bunch of wineries by the Finger lakes. I really want to go wine tasting again, but I don't want to be stuck driving. Plus, is it appropriate to bring a one year old? I figured as long as she's not drinking wine in her sippy, it's all good, but I don't want to get the side eye. Perhaps the ILs will babysit sometimes.
Oh, yeah, and my confession is that DH bought boxed wine and I like it. It's a Bota box Shiraz. The good old days of splurging on top shelf booze are gone. Now I see a $40 bottle of vodka and I think of how many diapers we can buy instead. How sad!
Have you tried the Bota Box wines? Cheap and plentiful. Which is haw I mostly prefer my wines any season.
If I want a super delicious wine (white) I go for Santa Margherita Pinot G. My frivolous red is the Bogle Phantom blend. It's kind of hard to find, but if you live by a wine wharehouse (like BevMo or Total Wine) it's worth the trip.

The Redvolution is good! It was on sale a while ago. Plus, tons of rebates. The other plus is the cardboard is made of recycled paper. Nice!
No matter the season, I drink reds. We don't buy bottle that cost more than $15 and have no problem finding quality wines.
If money was no object, I would mainline Cakebread Cab Sauv.
However, money is an object, so we drink a copious amount of Ravenswood Cab Sauv.
While I feel I should stump for the Long Island wines, they suck. Having toured a lot of different wine regions in the USA and Europe, I like CA wines the best. Except for white wines (not a huge fan of white), whites from Greece are super light and crisp.
Tonight I drank Cucles Gladiator, Cab Sauv, 2010. Not bad.

I have brought DD wine tasting. We usually just do 2 or 3 wineries and have lunch in between. No one has ever done anything except say how beautiful DD is. I have seen several families with children. I also remember going to a few wineries when I was younger and really enjoying the crackers!
Re: Wine Drinkers. If not open anyways
Blackberry Merlot
In the summer I love a Gruner Veltliner. Look for "Lois" by Loimer. It's inexpensive and delicious. I also love a Spanish Albarino.
I love where you're going with this movie and wine weekend.
Anything over 10% ALC.
Anything less isn't worth my time.
Mmmm. Love New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs.
But really, There is a local Blush that I am obsessed with, and I love Shiraz.
I like both extremes. Super sweet, and super dry.
I think I just love wine.
Relax(brand name) Riesling...
IT. IS. DELICIOUS.
This is my siggy. Love it.

Between your 10% comment and this one I have come to the conclusion that we should be drinking buddies. Cheers my friend

Just tried Hook & Ladder red. AWESOME!
And I don't care if red wine isn't chilled. It is YUMMY at room temp.

I saw Mommy Juice Boxes at Walgreens last week and was sorely tempted to purchase some.
Sure they'd taste awful, but they'd make the park a ton more fun, right?
