Nanny Share in Frederick, MD area

My husband and I have just started our search for daycare for our baby due in Nov 2012.   We have not loved any of the daycare options we have seen yet and want to look into the possibility of have an in home nanny that we could possibly share with another family to help split the cost.    While I like the interaction with other kids they would have a daycare center, I would be more comfortable having more intimate contact with a caregiver and feel that sharing a nanny would be the best of both worlds.   Is anyone else looking or conteplating the same issue ?   Has anyone else used a nanny share ?   I am interested in seeing how it has worked for others.....

Hi - We're in (pretty much exactly) the same boat.  We're due with our first in November, and are contemplating the nanny share.  I've been searching for a couple hours on how to find potential share families, and in desperation I typed in 'nanny share frederick' and your post popped up in the results. 

 I do see that your post was from a month ago... so maybe you've already worked something out?  It is kind of a bummer that we are due in the same month, it might be asking a lot of a nanny... 

But, I'd like to touch base with you and discuss further, maybe it's the start of an awesome nanny share, who knows.  Is there a way to take this convo offline (without posting my email or phone for public consumption)?

what part of Frederick do you live in ?

Have you look at any other options ?

I'm in Worman's Mill.  Do you have other children?  I had really wanted DS1 to be with other children his age.  The down side to that would be having my little baby with a lot of children DS1's age!  I had DS1 in daycare one day a week for a while, and she charged $220 per week for babies.  My concern isnt so much the money, but more the care.

We're pretty close to you, just across Rt 26,  in Monocacy Park.... This will be our first child so DS1 wouldn't have interaction with kids his age.   We are holding a spot at the Learning Bee as our backup plan.   We are still considering the nanny share if the optimal situation came around but wanted to have something set up and that was the only daycare we visited we would even consider.  As a first time mom its stressful to think about the best situation for your baby when you get back to work......
