My clinic is the "big one" in the Washington DC/Baltimore Area. Some have criticized it for being a baby factory, but I have had positive experiences with everyone I've seen. I go to one of the satellite offices for monitoring and minor things so I only have to go to Baltimore for the big stuff like ER. That might help, since it's a big practice with a small clinic feel.
I was sad to find out last week that both my assigned nurse and assigned doctor were going on vacation this week during my ER. (Not to mention by IRL best friend is out of town for the first time in YEARS!) However, during the days leading up to trigger and ER, the other ones have stepped up. After the random nurse called this morning with my bad news, I'm sure she could tell I was upset but she probably had to make 10 other calls with (hopefully better) news. But she just called back to check on me. She apologized and said it was probably like having a different mom console you when your mom was not there, but that she really cared and was sorry to have had to be the one to call with my nurse out. She also said she told the doctor who did the ER to call because she thought I needed him.
It's nice to be taken care of, even when the news is crappy.
Re: Shout out to my clinic
It is so nice that she called you back. I have been amazed at how wonderful the bedside manner has been at my clinic. I've never been treated so well by any other medical staff. And with how emotionally draining IF can be, the extra care is appreciated.
Keeping my FX that you get good news tomorrow.

I am glad they are taking care of you. My favorite nurse called me yesterday and I apologized for being such a big mess that day, and she said that she knew I was normal because of it. She also said the patients there are like her big babies. I'll take it!
I am so sorry about that news, but I did want to say I have seen so many success stories on rescue ICSI. That's why they do it! I've seen them both on here and TTC after 35. So I am sending lots of good vibes that you will get some fertilized eggs. I have confidence that you will. Hang in there.
