2nd Trimester

Dizzy

I am dizzy ALL the time!  My dr said its normal to have low blood pressure in the second trimester, but Im dizzy probably 10 times a day. Does this happen to anyone else?

Re: Dizzy

  • Me too. I feel wonky all the time. And have actual dizzy spells a few times a day. Also get a little dizzy if I look in another direction quickly. I'm really over it and ready to feel normal again.

  • Yup. I get dizzy and light-headed.

  • Have you guys found anything that made it better?  I started increasing the water I drink, but that doesnt help.
  • I added more salt to my diet and that really helped.

  • Yep, I feel the "lightheaded" feeling a lot, not so much "dizzy", but I have almost passed out a couple of times.

  • I haven't felt dizzy yet but just went into the doctors yesterday for a check up and she let me know that I have low blood pressure. She said I'd be more likely to feel dizziness and that If I do that I need to be sure to sit down and put my feet up until it passes.  She also said to keep hydrated more than normal and just be careful around the heat (stay in the shade when possible, where a hat...that kind of thing so that I don't get over heated and feel that dizziness).

  • I am taking an iron supplement because my iron is low, which has helped. My blood pressure has also been low though, which I'm sure is the cause for some of the lightheadedness. I just try to stay hydrated, try to stay out of the heat, eat frequent small, healthy snacks, get up slowly, move around slowly.
