I know there is a name board, I post there sometimes but I wanted August 2012 opinions this time.
We are team green, our boy name will be Richard Scott. Richard after DH's dad who died when DH was little and Scott is my dad's mn (also this baby will be born in Scotland). You can give an opinion on this if you want but it won't be changing.
The girl name is not decided yet. I have 2 that I keep coming back to, so I think I will take both to the hospital to see what fits, but even these 2 are not set in stone.
Elisabeth Katherine is one (Betty Kate). Elisabeth is in honour of DH's grandmother and Katherine is my great grandma's name and my mom's mn.
Anna Charlotte is the other one. I just like the name Anna, I keep coming back to it, our last name is 3 syllables and 9 letters long so I like the simplicity of Anna. Charlotte was my grandma's mn and it was because she was born in Charlottetown PEI so I like the Canadian connection there.
I realise that both these names are very common and may be considered boring but I still like them. I don't believe it is a name that makes someone unique. Even if there are so many others out there with these names she would be my Elisabeth or my Anna.

Re: Girl name opinions/ clicky poll
That is tough. I like Anna Charlotte (we were going to name this one Charlotte - Lottie for short if he was a girl), but I really like Betty Kate. That is super cute.
I bet if you have a girl, one will seem more right once you see her. Hopefully though you and DH agree on which one seems right!
DH and I married 8 years. Mom of three, stepmom of one.
I voted for Anna but I think would like Elisabeth Katherine better if the nn wasn't Betty - not a fan of Betty. Maybe Libby?
I also like the flow of Charlotte Elisabeth if you were interesting in switching them up.
This for me too.
Proud Mama to cleft cutie
I love Richard Scott, and the meaning behind it.
I love both Anna and Elizabeth...so this was a hard choice but voted for Elizabeth Katherine. Betty is an adorable nickname (I also like Betsy as a nn for Elizabeth). You really can't go wrong with either. If you are really torn, you could always make your final decision when she is born and see what suits her better. Great choices, though.

I really dislike the name Betty so I didn't vote for it. I love the meaning behind your names.
